2023 Awards

Kitty Green’s thriller The Royal Hotel leads the Australian Film Critics Association 2023 Awards with eight nominations, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress. Closely following with seven nominations each is Ivan Sen’s Limbo and Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou’s Talk to Me. Noora Niasari’s Shayda and Goran Stolevski’s Of an Age both received six nominations, while Warwick Thornton’s The New Boy received five nominations, and Jub Clerc’s Sweet As receiving one nomination.

The ceremony was held on 23 March 2024 at The Backlot Melbourne.
